Do you have any books?
I do. My first book, A Reader's Guide to Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis (Understanding Literature), was published in January 2010. My poetry and short stories have appeared here and there. A mountain of my journalism appeared in The Capital Times. Give me a Google, and you'll see.
Why a blog?
Recording my experiences tends to be my first instinct, and since moving to Knoxville in December (2010), I have felt the urge to write about everything I see. Add to that: when we were making our decision to move here, I found few good Knoxville-related blogs about life here. I want people to know more about this city.
Shine? Really?
What can I say? Maybe it's the glare off the sunsphere or the glitter of the diamonds on the fingers of West Knox matrons or the sparkle of the Vols, but this city has a special glow.
